A box, papers and a good photograph prove nothing. Here is what a watch goes through before it is allowed into the case.
Movement inspected against the reference: bridge finishing, engraving depth, screw slots, rotor. Franken-watches and swapped movements are found here, not later.
On a Witschi machine for 24 hours: rate, amplitude and beat error in all six positions. The printout goes in the folder and to you.
Dry-air pressure test to the rated depth, then a condensation check. Any watch we describe as water resistant has been tested that week.
Twelve photographs including the movement, the serial and any service marks, plus a written condition note. The folder travels with the watch to its next owner.
You set the floor price. We photograph, service if needed, and place it with a buyer we know. Our commission comes out of what it sells for above your floor, so we are on the same side.
Estates and collections: we do full-collection valuations for families and lawyers, with a written report suitable for probate.
A polished case has lost metal it will never get back, and with it the sharp edges collectors pay for. We only polish when the owner insists, and we note it in the folder.

Every watch is opened and inspected against the reference before it is priced, and you get the movement photographs and the timing printout. You are also welcome to take it, unpaid, to any independent watchmaker in Mumbai for a second opinion before the sale closes. Nobody has ever brought one back.
Twenty-four months from us on the movement, regardless of what the manufacturer's warranty says. Water resistance is warranted for twelve months, because gaskets are a wear part and honest sellers say so.
Yes. We value it the same way as a consignment, and the trade-in figure is usually 5–8% higher than an outright buy because we are also making the sale. The two numbers are shown to you separately, never bundled.
Most of our bench work is exactly that. Rolex, Omega, Jaeger, Cartier, IWC, Tudor, Seiko, Grand Seiko and anything with a Valjoux or ETA base. We will decline a watch honestly if it needs a part we cannot source.
Six to eight weeks, and we will not promise faster. A complete service is disassembly, cleaning, new gaskets, lubrication, reassembly, regulation and then two weeks of timing on the wrist stand before it goes back to you.
For purchases above ₹3 lakh we hold a watch for 30 days against 20%, and there are 6 and 12-month no-cost EMI options on major cards. We do not lend money ourselves.
Eleven to eight, Tuesday to Sunday. Tell us what you are after and we will have three on the tray when you arrive, including the ones that never make it to the site.
